Bio

Tucked away on a poor, generational farm in southern Minnesota, I grew up with both turmoil and tenderness. Like so many restless girls seeking an escape from the patriarchy, I grew up too soon and sought refuge in drugs, alcohol and toxic relationships. After college, yet another escape from my small town with few idols and fewer opportunities, I moved to Nashville, TN to pursue my dream of becoming a songwriter. I’ve spent the last 14 years following my curiosity and playing music across the US and Europe. On my journey, I met my wife, got sober and embraced art as my craft. Music, my primary medium, bleeds into film and poetry. I gather the debris of my creative fits and use art to tell my story and the stories of so many powerful and struggling women.
